Great Fun Experience

So glad we booked this tour! We learned a lot and got great photos of the whirlpool rapids. Stairs to climb out of the gorge was stenuous but our guide was patient and allowed us to take our time. Definitly recomend!

Niagara River Rapids- Very Cool!!

I’m just getting around to doing a review. Last summer I visted Niagara Falls with a few friends. We did the typical tourist stuff but we wanted to check out the Niagara River gorge, so we booked the hike to Whirlpool. We had a great time and our guide showed us lots of great places to take photos. Along the hike we had some time to explore some interesting spots on our own. My buddies want to return to Niagara Falls this year for an Artpark concert. We plan booking another hiking tour for 2024.

When we planned our family vacation, visiting The Falls and doing the Maid of the Mist was a priority. We looked for other activities and found the Explore Niagara NY website. The pictures of the gorge looked awesome, so we booked a tour to The Whirlpool. The rapids are so cool up close. Our guide was outgoing and knew great places along the hike to take photos. The kids (12, 15, 17) loved the hike and it was a highlight of our vacation.

I enjoyed touring with Explore Niagara NY. Our guide Bob was great, he took us to some spots along the trails that we would have missed if we hiked alone. He was a wealth of knowledge and made the hike enjoyable as well as educational. He even gave us pointers on the best place to park for free when visiting The Falls. I was most impressed that he texted us afterwards with a couple more suggestions. Highly recommend!

My wife and I rented kayaks. A company rep met us at the boat launch location in Lewiston. Thankfully the Niagara River is wide without rapids in Lewsiton. The river flows north so there was no strenuous paddling. After several miles we arrived at Fort Niagara. They picked up the kayaks and we stayed a few hours checking out the fort. We took the free Discover Niagara shuttle back to Lewiston parking lot. We had drinks and dinner overlooking the river at a restaurant recommended by our guide!

I had a business meeting in Buffalo and decided to take some PTO and visit Niagara Falls. I didn’t want to get stuck in a big tour group. Explore Niagara NY offered a customizable solo tour option. Bob, the tour guide, planned a day of hiking along the river. We met at Devils Hole Park and hiked all the way to Niagara Falls. We stopped at the whirlpool – a great experience!! We chatted along the way about places we’ve traveled, family, work, etc. After the hike we had lunch together at a neat place overlooking the Falls. I now have a new friend in Niagara Falls.
