Our most popular tour for view of the rapids!

Take the new stone staircase 425 steps down to the lower Niagara River Gorge and below the Whirlpool Bridge. From there we will hike along the Niagara River where you’ll discover some of Niagara’s history and mystery. We will arrive at the old Schoellkopf Power Plant ruins where you can spend some time exploring on your own. The trail can get narrow and is rocky in some areas. This hike includes an elevator ride to the top of the gorge to avoid the typical 400+ steps back to the top of the gorge. The hike continues along the top of the Niagara River with great views for photos as we trek back along the top of the Niagara River to our original meeting spot.

Artpark / Gorge Trail / Lewiston

Artpark is located along the lower Niagara River in Lewiston, NY.  It is primarily known as Western New York’s largest concert venue with an indoor theater and amphitheater. The location of Artpark is drenched in history. We’ll spend some time exploring the historic significance surrounding Artpark, interesting art installations and the concert venue. From there we’ll take a three-mile round trip hike from Artpark and along the lower Niagara River gorge and under the Lewiston / Queenstown Bridge that crosses into Canada. Along the hike your guide will tell you some interesting stories about US Boarder Patrol, Artpark concerts and cool places to check out in the festive and fun Village of Lewiston – including museums, shopping, and dining options.
